Overview

The Department of Education, Western Australia seeks qualified and enthusiastic pre-service teachers to join our Casual Teacher Pool. As a member of this pool, you will have the opportunity to work in various public schools across the state, supporting students when their teacher is unavailable or additional support is required.

About the Role

This casual teaching position offers flexibility and variety, with appointments ranging from three hours to four weeks at a single school or educational site. You will be working closely with experienced educators and administrators to provide high-quality education to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • To teach classes as assigned by the school principal;
  • To maintain accurate records and follow departmental policies;
  • To participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills;
  • To communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be in the final year of your Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching degree at an Australian university;
  • Hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance;
  • Have a current Academic transcript showing successful completion of your most recent professional experience.
