We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our Residential Care team at RSL LifeCare. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, in accordance with our menu plans and dietary requirements.
- Comply with all infection control and safe food handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Liaise with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
- Timely completion of all required documentation and reporting, including meal planning, inventory management, and food safety records.
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred.
- Verifiable experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within Aged Care, Hospital, or similar environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to solve problems independently and work effectively in a team environment.
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
