Game Server Developer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Game Server Developer to join our team.

  • This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work on developing efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions in C#/.NET, with a focus on C# 10+, .NET Standard 2, and .NET 6+
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with Unity experts to debug and enhance Unity integration with the server
  • They will work with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain solutions for deploying and updating the server (primarily AWS cloud deployment)
  • The role also involves cooperating with PHP experts to develop API and reporting solutions that support the multiplayer servers
  • The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of multiplayer concepts and be able to identify and resolve concurrency, locking, queues, and race conditions
  • They will utilize necessary server technologies to improve efficiency, such as caching, queuing, and automation
  • The position involves assisting in monitoring and debugging servers and solutions
  • Responsibilities include writing code and designing solutions in accordance with applicable code quality standards
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with C#/ .NET in a relevant multiplayer project
  • Familiarity with supporting technologies, including socket connections (TCP and UDP), data compression, encryption, etc.
  • Experience working in a gaming environment; preference for those who have developed solutions in Unity
  • Experience with cloud hosting and deployment, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge of source control (preferably GIT) and JIRA
  • Preference for knowledge of MySQL, memcached, and Redis
Non-Technical Skills
  • Excellent work ethic and problem-solving ability
  • Exceptional English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence in communicating ideas, solutions, and issues in a fast-paced team environment
  • Preferably worked in a gaming environment
  • An open mind towards researching, using, and implementing new technologies
  • Diligent and respectful attitude
  • Good time estimation of effort
