This is a Senior Environmental Health Officer opportunity within the NSW Health Ministry.

The position will focus on enhancing health and wellness, while contributing to project development and implementation. The role involves managing Aboriginal environmental health programs, including Housing for Health and the Aboriginal Environmental Health Officer Training Program.

Key responsibilities include providing policy advice, developing draft policy on environmental health aspects related to Aboriginal communities, and implementing programs to support the delivery of Aboriginal environmental health policies in NSW.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in environmental health, public health, or a relevant field, along with experience in policy development, implementation, and review.

They will also possess demonstrated knowledge and experience in Aboriginal public and environmental health, as well as understanding of the range and nature of Aboriginal environmental health issues in NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.

As a member of the team, you will be part of a dynamic and dedicated group working towards improving health outcomes.

The successful applicant will be employed on a temporary basis for 3 months up to 12 September 2025, with the possibility of extension. They will work 38 hours per week and will be based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards NSW.
