Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team at K&L Asian Food Pty Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall success of our two Japanese restaurants in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with managers to create menus that cater to changing market needs and seasons.
  • Special Meals Management: Maintain and plan popular Japanese traditional style meals for customers, incorporating new specials based on customer feedback.
  • Purchasing and Pricing: Organize procurement of raw materials within budget and determine menu food prices.
  • Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, track transfers, and compile reports for directors, identifying opportunities to reduce stock loss through maintenance and development.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure kitchen facilities and dining areas meet health requirements, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Regularly check customer satisfaction with food and service, recording frequent questions and popular meals to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Staff Management: Hire and train kitchen and floor staff in conjunction with directors, developing employee handbooks and training programs.
  • Daily Supervision: Supervise table booking, customer greeting, and order taking, assisting when necessary.
Requirements
  • An Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma is required, or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge of Restaurant Management, inspiring and leading a diverse team.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, address challenges promptly, and showcase flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
