Heritage Compliance Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heritage Advisor to lead our team in providing high-quality heritage compliance services. This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly while contributing to projects that help guide the city's heritage protection and conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead heritage risk assessments for capital and operational land use activities
  • Manage heritage service requests and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Provide strategic input into heritage risk management and cultural heritage protection strategies
  • Review technical reports and provide heritage advice to project teams
  • Contribute to the development of heritage risk management processes, systems, and templates, and maintain records

Be autonomous while collaborating across teams, value flexibility, and drive heritage risk management practices.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in historic and Aboriginal cultural heritage management in infrastructure planning and delivery
  • Experience operating within teams, mentoring, and guiding others, and creating a positive workplace environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Holds a Bachelor Degree in Archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management, Anthropology, or related field
