We are seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join our Legal Operations team, based in any of our Australian offices. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the firm's lawyers and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing the firm's overall knowledge management strategy.
- Establishing policies, standards, and governance processes for managing the firm's knowledge assets.
- Overseeing the maintenance and continuous improvement of the firm's knowledge management systems and repositories.
- Facilitating the discovery, capture, and sharing of knowledge across practice groups.
- Providing research and advisory support to lawyers on complex legal issues and practice-related queries.
- Designing and delivering training to educate lawyers on best practice, plain language drafting, and the effective use of the firm's knowledge resources.
- Identifying strategic precedent drafting priorities and creating high-quality knowledge products.
- Collaborating with team leaders and other key stakeholders to align knowledge initiatives with their needs.
Requirements:
- Australian qualified lawyer with a strong understanding of legal research and writing.
- Experience in drafting complex documents in plain language.
- Experience in designing and delivering training programmes.
- Experience in precedent drafting and development.
- Experience in or familiarity with automation of precedents and processes.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and foster open communication with partners and legal team members.
- Openness to exploring new technologies, tools, and approaches to knowledge management.
- Capacity to think outside the box and challenge traditional ways of working.
- Commercial acumen coupled with a client-oriented focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
