Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this role will be a multi-faceted position responsible for overseeing quarry operations with a focus on production enhancement and preventative maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the day-to-day production of operations and making decisions that impact the overall performance of the business
  • Planning and organizing preventative maintenance activities and managing contractors to ensure plant shutdowns are efficient and effective
  • Managing personnel while bringing the team along for the journey to successfully achieve goals
  • Bringing a strong safety mindset, managing high-risk activities, and reducing risk exposure for self and others
  • Supporting the management of general ledger accounts on a monthly P&L statement

Requirements:

  • A restricted quarry manager's certificate of competency will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
  • Experience in preventative maintenance planning and execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • A team player who can make effective decisions under pressure
  • Results-focused and self-motivated, with a total commitment to risk management and visible leadership
