About the Role

We are seeking a talented Platform Architect to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our engineering community, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining platforms and tools that make life easier for our product engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement technology stacks and integrations using infrastructure as code principles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve stability issues to increase system resilience and stability
  • Focus on automating deployments, testing, and toil
  • Listen to platform users and iteratively evolve the platform to deliver better experiences
  • Share knowledge and create documentation that is easy to read and understand
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team
  • Participate in our overall Engineering community – learning from and teaching others
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for individuals with experience in platform engineering, software engineering, or systems engineering, or another related discipline. Cloud certifications in AWS or Azure are useful, but not required. We are also looking for individuals with deep knowledge of technology concepts and stacks, familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines, scripting and programming skills, and a desire to learn new programming languages.
