Job Title: Director Of Nursing Leadership

The nursing leadership team is seeking a highly experienced and skilled leader to join the role of Associate Director Of Nursing And Midwifery Advanced Practice Pathways.

This key position plays a pivotal role in supporting nursing and midwifery leadership to understand advanced practice roles, pathways and develop opportunities for nurses and midwives to advance and expand their practice.

  • Lead the development of innovative models of care and implementation of advanced practice pathways, frameworks and related activities.
  • Work across all campuses and lead change, engaging with purpose and empowering others through proven stakeholder engagement skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. A sound understanding of nursing and midwifery pathways and relevant legislation.
  2. Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills in a complex healthcare environment.
  3. Project management experience and ability to meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
  4. An ability to communicate across disciplines through all modes and confident presentation skills.
  5. Navigating systems and regulatory codes and guidelines pertaining to scope of practice and advanced roles.
  6. Experience in workforce planning, management principles and contemporary practice for nurses and midwives in public healthcare settings.
  7. Insight and knowledge of registration and regulatory principles and understanding of contemporary nursing and midwifery practice capabilities.
