We are seeking an experienced Strategic Market Insights Professional to join our team in Sydney. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing in-depth market insights, financial evaluations, and business analysis to drive growth.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage market insights to drive business growth.

You will evaluate pipeline and in-market products, conduct competitive analyses, forecast market trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate pipeline and in-market products using market insights.
  2. Conduct deep-dive market analysis to contribute strategic insights to shape business decisions.
  3. Analyse large datasets, track KPIs, and deliver impactful reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
  4. Work with Regulatory, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align business analysis with product development and lifecycle management.
  5. Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats.
  6. Lead financial assessments, develop models, and analyse the financial impact of market dynamics.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Business Analytics, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the pharmaceutical, MedTech, medical devices industry or if you have worked as a consultant in those industries.
  • Strong technical skills with data analysis tools and Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, market access, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of generics and innovative products would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven track record in market research, competitive intelligence, financial modelling, and strategic analysis.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Regulatory, Commercial, and Marketing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
