Paxus - Technology + Digital Talent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and managing large corporate Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high availability strategies
  • Perform backups and recoveries
  • Carry out monitoring, tuning, cloning, scripting, patching, and upgrades
  • Manage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in a rotating on-call roster, including after-hours and weekends

Requirements:

  • Extensive recent experience in designing, installing, and managing large corporate Oracle databases
  • Experience implementing and maintaining database security and access controls
  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing advanced Oracle database features and related software
  • Experience designing and implementing high availability strategies
  • Experience managing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly regarded skills: Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies desirable
  • Experience supporting MySQL/Maria DB with Galera Clusters, MS SQL Server, or other enterprise databases
  • Professional certifications in any of the products listed above
