Asbestos Labourer Role

We are seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to work on ongoing asbestos removal projects in the Wollongong Region.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safety Seal Installation: Use plastic sheeting and duct tape to seal off work areas.
  • Manual Asbestos Removal: Safely remove asbestos material using manual labour.
  • Loading and Unloading: Unload building materials as required.
  • Job Site Preparation: Prepare the job site for commencement of works.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Follow all SOPs during asbestos removal and clean-up processes.
  • Plastic Sheeting and Disposal: Place plastic sheeting and disposal bags into required containers, bags and/or trucks.
  • Decontamination: Follow decontamination processes.
  • Collaboration with Team: Work closely with asbestos workers and supervisors to complete tasks safely and effectively.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • White Card & ID: Hold a white card and photo identification.
  • Asbestos Licence: Possess an Asbestos A or B Licence.
  • PPE: Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Attitude and Fitness: Demonstrate a hard-working attitude and commitment to the role, with good physical fitness.
