Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Content Creator - Travel Video Specialist to join our team on a casual basis. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for creating engaging, video-first content across social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, while producing high-quality on-site video content.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in video production, with expertise in filming, editing, and post-production processes. You should also have proficiency in desktop video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and mobile-first editing programs.

We are looking for a talented individual who can bring travel stories to life in visually compelling and highly shareable formats. Your videos will help set the standard for travel video content in Australia, covering the latest travel trends, capturing the essence of new destinations, and providing expert advice to our audience.

In this role, you will work closely with our editorial team to develop, shoot, and edit video content that is optimised for social platforms. You will create content that resonates with our audience, drives user engagement, and aligns with the Escape brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, shoot, and edit video content for escape.com.au, covering travel guides, advice, trends, hotel reviews, cruise updates, and travel deals.
  • Create and publish content optimised for social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Contribute to the creation of video-first content for the website, driving user engagement and audience growth on-site.
  • Collaborate closely with the social media editor and wider editorial team to pitch and execute visually captivating video ideas that align with the Escape brand.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production processes.
  • Proficiency in desktop video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and mobile-first editing programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating video content for social platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong storytelling abilities, with the skill to translate editorial concepts into visually engaging video content.

About the Role:

This is a casual position, with a competitive salary range of AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
