Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Baking and Food Preparation Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and baking of muffins, slices, cookies, and other baked goods. They will also be responsible for following recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality, measuring and mixing ingredients accurately, operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, including washing dishes and cleaning work stations, assisting with stock control and ingredient preparation, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of various baked goods.
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene, including washing dishes and cleaning work stations.
  • Assist with stock control and ingredient preparation.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or baking environment (not essential).
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
  • Good time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (food safety certificate is a plus).
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work as part of a team.
