At The Toro Company, we're seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our Equipment team in Canberra, ACT. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for the mechanical work involved in repair, maintenance, and servicing of turf maintenance-related equipment within a nominated region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage field service priorities and schedules.
  • Ensure our service fleet vehicle's safety, cleanliness, and proper resourcing.
  • Coordinate and perform various mechanical tasks in repairing, maintaining, and servicing turf maintenance-related equipment.
  • Establish and maintain relevant service-related information.
  • Provide product service training to clients as required.
  • Build and maintain a customer base to promote the ongoing financial growth of the Service Centre.
  • Participate in regular internal product-based training to meet and exceed OEM service standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, diesel and petrol engines.
  • Ability to use test and diagnostic equipment to determine the cause of mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • A valid Australian Motor Vehicle License.
