The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Team Lead to join our dynamic payroll team at our Corporate Offices in Henderson. In this role, you will collaborate with the Payroll Manager and lead a team to handle crucial tasks involved in processing our weekly and monthly payrolls. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, entering new and updating existing employees onto payroll systems, and understanding and utilizing workplace agreements for wage and salaried employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Enter new and update existing employees onto payroll systems
  • Understand and utilize workplace agreements for wage and salaried employees
  • Assist with payroll and EOY reconciliations
  • Reconcile annual leave, long service leave, sick leave, redundancy, and productivity accruals as required
  • Prepare, calculate, and reconcile weekly and monthly payments for wage and salary-based staff
  • Assist with general payroll enquiries
  • Maintain current award updates and payroll adjustments
  • Reconcile weekly PAYG tax payments
  • Calculate and process termination payments for employees
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll position and leading a team
  • Proven experience within the Construction Industry
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of EBA interpretation, FWA, and ATO relevant legislation
  • Strong focus on delivering a high level of customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of management
