Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in Australia. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting Earth Cutting Tooling solutions to achieve and exceed assigned sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Assess and evaluate customer needs, and develop appropriate sales approaches to meet those needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  • Manage distributor partners to increase sales year-over-year and drive new business development.
  • Support team sales initiatives by gathering and communicating relevant information for assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts, programs, and agreements with customers and vendors.
  • Conduct field trials, customer complaint resolution, and gather competitive information.
  • Execute complex tasks and projects, and perform analysis to develop recommendations.
  • Prepare progress, status, and forecast reports on key aspects of the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Collect receivables and maintain required Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate in an Engineering Discipline, or work experience in Engineering Products, or Engineering Diploma/Certificate, preferably with sales experience - minimum 5 years.
  • Desirable to have 3-5 years of experience in sales/application of Earth Cutting Tooling and/or Wear Products, and handling construction and mining companies/contractors.
  • Competent in understanding and communicating product and technical information effectively to customers.
  • Able to assess customer needs competently.
  • Willing to travel extensively from the defined territory to construction and mining sites.
