Senior Community Services Director

Job Description

This role involves leading and managing a diverse portfolio of child, family, and community programs to ensure high-quality service delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and develop a portfolio of child, family, and community programs.
  • Provide program and strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and staff leadership to enhance well-being and resilience in the Northern Territory.
  • Lead, manage, and develop Managers within the portfolio.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, Community Services, Psychology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior management role within the social services sector. Experience with Department of Social Services contracts highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and reporting requirements.
  • Deep understanding of the social, cultural, and economic issues affecting children, families, and communities in the Northern Territory.
