Sustainable Transition Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Climate Campaigner to join our team at the Environment Centre NT.

The successful candidate will work with local communities, organisations and our team to scrutinise gas industry developments and assist in the rapid transition to renewables.

• Develop and implement the No New Gas campaign to change mindsets and protect our climate.
• Design effective political, public and stakeholder engagement strategies to achieve overarching campaign goals.
• Conduct research to support the program and prepare impactful analysis.
• Create inspiring content that encourages people to act.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in nature conservation, advocacy space and related areas.
• Commitment to the conservation and environment sector.
• Passion for protecting and conserving NT nature.
• Understanding of political decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder and decision-maker engagement and representation skills.
• Demonstrated intelligent and impactful campaigning skills.
• Demonstrated skills in working with high-performing teams.
• Skills in media engagement and as a spokesperson.
• High level of emotional intelligence and proven collaborative working style and experience.

• A competitive salary range of $80,691.33 - $89,415.87 plus superannuation (11.5%) and five weeks leave.
