We are seeking a skilled High Voltage Power System Operator to join our team.
- This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with potential for long-term career growth.
- Projects will be based in North Perth and Mount Hawthorn areas.
- The hourly rate for this position is estimated to be between $87 and $106 per hour.
As a High Voltage Power System Operator, you will be responsible for performing switching, isolation, and restoration of underground power circuits in accordance with Western Power's operational standards and safety procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Switching and isolating high voltage power circuits
- Restoring power to affected areas
- Maintaining a strong understanding of Western Power's switching guidelines and electrical safety procedures
We offer a company vehicle for use during work hours.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A fully cleared and active Western Power/Horizon Power HV/LV switching ticket within 12 months
- A current WA Electrical license
- A current Australian Drivers license
- An ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
- A strong understanding of Western Power's switching guidelines and electrical safety procedures
