About the Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver to join our team at Australia Post. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and connecting businesses with their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely load and unload freight from our iconic blue trucks
  • Complete daily vehicle safety checks to ensure a safe and efficient delivery process
  • Drive our modern trucks between operational centres and customers for deliveries and pick-ups
  • Return to operational centres to unload pick-ups and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

About You

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who is passionate about making a difference in the community. You'll need to have:

  • Full working rights
  • A relevant forklift license and heavy vehicle license (MR license or above)
  • Manual experience is essential
  • Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes, and weights
  • Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
  • Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less
  • Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical, and national police checks
