About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to take on a Senior Paediatric Rehab Case Manager role in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with families, children, and medical teams to assess and establish rehabilitation needs;
  • Support and guide families in establishing their child's rehabilitation needs and timing for different services throughout the rehabilitation continuum;
  • Develop clear, person-centred rehabilitation and life goals and formulate rehabilitation plans for approval by the funding source;
  • Write high-quality reports, service requests, and service costing throughout the rehabilitation program;
  • Act as the key contact for all rehabilitation-related matters in relation to treatment, rehabilitation, care, and return to school/study for the client and their family;
  • Monitor progress, report, and identify barriers to recovery throughout the rehabilitation continuum;
  • Problem-solve in collaboration with all involved to overcome obstacles and manage issues to enable the child/young person to move forward.

About You
  • Degree in Physiotherapy with AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families
  • Understanding of traumatic brain injury and its effects on a child/adolescent
  • Experience working with children/adolescents who have suffered traumatic injuries or have complex disabilities
  • Knowledge of the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Lifetime Care and Support scheme and a willingness to be an Approved Case Manager (Lifetime Care and Support)
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus complex negotiation skills
  • Current unrestricted driver's license
  • Eligible to work permanently in Australia
