As a Career Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering the Inclusive Employment program across key regions. You will work with participants to explore career goals, build confidence, and connect them with opportunities, while collaborating with employers to open doors.
You will source and create career opportunities, matching clients to suitable and sustainable roles. You will champion inclusive employment and workforce diversity, focusing on people with disability, injury or health condition.
You will engage and work with employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment. You will broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility.
You will prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training. You will facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion.
You will build employer and community networks to create job opportunities. You will promote Breakthru as a trusted provider supporting people with disability to achieve career goals.
You will meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks. You will champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
Key Requirements- Qualifications in Employment or Human Services are desirable.
- Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively.
- Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
- Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current Driver's License is essential.
