About the Role

Infinite Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to join our team. This is a long-term contract opportunity that requires a strong background in system engineering, with a focus on ICT infrastructure, security, and embedded systems development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network infrastructure on Cisco and Juniper platforms.
  • Develop and configure Linux environments, install operating systems, and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Enhance and support automation and continuous deployment using Python, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • Monitor systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Translate logical designs into physical designs, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working with virtualization technologies.
  • Proven track record of monitoring and actioning security alerts and incidents.
  • Ability to maintain and upgrade device software, firmware versions, racking, cabling, and labeling of current and new infrastructure.
  • Capacity to deploy hosting platforms in a scalable and sustainable manner.
  • Ability to patch and upgrade existing hosting platforms to improve security standards.
