Job Overview

As a seasoned professional, you will be part of a dynamic team within the Payments Channel and Reporting crew building a new banking experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will work closely with engineers to uplift business capabilities and modernise our tech stack.
  • Manage risk through safe deployments and automated testing, while expanding your knowledge of back-end engineering.
  • Join regular engineering guilds and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Technical leadership involves setting engineering standards, providing architectural guidance, driving solution design, and mentoring both senior and junior engineers.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, from cloud platforms to Gen AI and Machine Learning, and inspire the team to experiment and adopt tools that keep us ahead of industry standards.
  • Tackle complexity and ambiguity to drive technical excellence.
Requirements:
  • Technical Authority – Act as the go-to expert for technical solutions, guide the team through challenges, perform rigorous code reviews, and contribute to robust architectural decisions.
  • Hands-on Leadership – Lead by example with high-quality code contributions and a strong focus on delivering scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration – Mentor engineers, facilitate knowledge sharing, and foster collaboration.
  • DevSecOps Mindset – Promote security, automation, and continuous delivery, identifying risks early and ensuring secure deployments.
  • Innovation Leader – Stay updated on technologies from cloud platforms to Gen AI/ML and drive adoption.
  • Accountability – Own outcomes and ensure reliability of systems.
