About the Role

The Lead Early Years Educator is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate programs for individuals and groups of children, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and contributing to the overall procedures of the campus-based Children's Centre. The ideal candidate will effectively engage with educators, families, and children to implement educational programs through providing a stimulating and educational environment.

The role operates from 8am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and requires a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework. The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in working with children and be driven by their growth and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality education and care programs that meet the needs of children attending the centre
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including adhering to hygiene practices and responding to incidents or injuries
  • Collaborate with educators and other staff members to achieve positive outcomes for children
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of educators and other staff members

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associated Diploma level qualification recognised by Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Minimum of 12 months demonstrated experience in early childhood services
  • Strong understanding and commitment to applying the National Quality Framework and Standards, the service philosophy of Education and Care, the National Early Years Learning Framework, and Child Protection - Mandatory Reporting Framework
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Salary Estimate: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
