In this pivotal role as a Local Area Coordinator, you will work in Bunbury and collaborate with individuals with disabilities, their families, and carers to achieve their goals and thrive.

  • Develop and implement effective goal-setting strategies with participants
  • Establish connections between people with disabilities and support services within the local community
  • Navigate and optimize participant engagement with the NDIS
  • Enhance community knowledge of the NDIS and create opportunities for participants to access essential services and support
  • Meet contractual performance metrics

You should possess personal values grounded in empathy and compassion, understanding the diverse needs of individuals within your local community.

Key qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience and/or lived experience
  • Experience in collaborative planning with people to achieve shared outcomes
  • Knowledge of the local community and available options for social and economic participation for people with disability
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
  • A Working with Children and/or Vulnerable People Check
