About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our team at SYC. As a key member of our Education and Learning portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training and assessment services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Assess and address the varied learning needs of each student, including language, literacy, and numeracy.
  • Conduct student inductions into the course/qualification and ensure all training delivered meets the requirements of the Training Package, industry requirements, and VET Quality Framework.
  • Develop and implement Training and Assessment strategies to maximize client and learning outcomes.
  • Complete and maintain all training assessment records efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and ensure compliance with SYC Health, Safety, Environmental, and Injury Management policies and procedures, and legislation requirements.
Requirements
  • Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor) or diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or be willing to obtain these qualifications.
  • Obtain relevant industry-based qualifications and experience.
  • Hold and maintain an approved First Aid Certificate.
  • Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
  • Have possession of a current valid Driver's License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4–5-star ANCAP safety rating.
