Job Description

SA Mushrooms seeks a reliable and skilled Loader Driver/General Labourer to join their team at the Compost Yard facility in Lower Light. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are keen to learn, have an interest in horticulture and farming, and have their own transport.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including operating plant and equipment to move material through the various stages of production. This includes maintaining all plant and equipment to SA mushrooms standards, completing records and paperwork accurately as directed, and performing safety checks and preventative maintenance on equipment such as loaders, forklifts, conveyor belts, and hoppers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating on-site plant and equipment as required
  • Maintaining all plant and equipment to SA mushrooms standards
  • Maintaining all buildings, grounds, and roadways
  • Completing records and paperwork accurately as directed
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • A valid driver's licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role (loader driver/general labourer)
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
  • The ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
  • Current work rights in Australia
