About the Role

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Principal to join the leadership team at Lockhart State School. As a key member of the school's senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving educational excellence and improving student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's strategic plan and curriculum programs
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teachers and support staff to improve teaching and learning practices
  • Support the Principal in managing the school's operations and resources
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote student safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with other school leaders and stakeholders to achieve school goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a senior leader in education, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment frameworks, including the P-12 Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework (CARF)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, students, parents and the community
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of teachers and support staff
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
