**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ professional to join our team at Melbourne Airport, supporting our project in Utilities sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the prevention of injuries and illnesses by partnering with local business management and workers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist HSEQ advice and support to the business, coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties, and implementing HSEQ policies, systems, programs, and initiatives.

You will have a strong background in HSEQ, with experience in managing Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements for major engineering or construction projects. Your excellent communication and people management skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with project contractors and stakeholders.

In this role, you will also assist business management in continually improving the company's risk management capabilities and promote a safe and positive work culture.

We offer a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual salary range of $120,000-$180,000 AUD, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the project team to ensure compliance with Safety, Environment, Quality, and client obligations.
  • Providing specialist HSEQ advice and support to the business.
  • Coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties.
  • Implementing HSEQ policies, systems, programs, and initiatives.
  • Promoting a safe and positive work culture.
  • Assisting business management in continually improving the company's risk management capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in an HSEQ role with a strong quality background.
  • Working knowledge of Legislation, Standards and Codes and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and AS 4801 standards.
  • Prior experience managing Safety, Environment and Quality requirements for major engineering or construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Power, gas, water, or other utilities industry experience desirable.
  • Relevant qualification in WHS/OH&S, Quality and / or Environment or Engineering/Science.
