We are seeking a highly skilled VE Teacher to join our team in delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising their progress in selected courses. As a VE Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards by actively participating in the ongoing reviews of course content, teaching methods, and student assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering course material and assessing student progress
- Supervising students and providing guidance and support
- Participating in ongoing reviews of course content and teaching methods
- Engaging with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT teaching and administration staff to create strong partnerships
Requirements:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments
- Skills and experience in competency-based assessment
- Ability to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence that meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed
- Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge
- Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions
- Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team
- Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies
Preferred qualifications include a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
