About the Role

ACC Victoria Online is seeking a dedicated maths educator to deliver engaging lessons to students from Years 7-11 in an online environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive online maths programs or courses of study;
  • Utilize ICT learning platforms, particularly Canvas, with proficiency;
  • Promote student engagement through effective content knowledge and pedagogical practices;
  • Maintain a commitment to professional development through coaching and training;
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment in accordance with child-safe standards;
  • Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and adhere to its policies and procedures;
  • Exemplify and promote the school's vision and values;
  • Teach maths to senior year levels and develop online VCE courses for delivery;
  • Maintain accurate records of class attendance and student progress;
  • Implement effective student management consistent with the school's strategic plan;

This position requires individuals who are passionate about teaching in an online setting and are committed to making a positive impact on students' lives. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with policy.

Requirements
  • Recognised teaching qualification;
  • Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable);
  • Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT);
  • Statements of service from previous roles involving children;
  • References from previous roles involving children;

The ideal candidate will be a committed Christian, comfortable sharing their faith, and possess high expectations for students' academic and behavioural capabilities. They should demonstrate excellent organisational skills, relate well to staff, students, and parents, and exhibit a servant heart.
