About the Role:

Visy Logistics is seeking an experienced MC Linehaul Driver to join our team in Melbourne - East. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to Tumut Depot, starting at Dandenong depot, and returning. You will be based out of Dandenong Depot and will work on a consistent schedule that allows for a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running B-Double combinations
  • Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant
  • Ensuring timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight, maintaining adherence to schedules
  • Accurately completing electronic reporting systems and other required documentation
  • Complying with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws
  • Adhering to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported

Requirements:

  • A valid MC Licence with minimum of 2 years' recent Australian driving experience
  • Experience with tautliners, flatbeds, retractable or container trailers
  • Sound knowledge of the regional areas or interstate routes
  • Providing a full 5-year demerit point history report
  • Completing Visy Practical Driver Assessment
  • Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws
  • BFM Certification – or willingness to obtain
  • Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment
