Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and directing physical therapy services to ensure the highest level of quality resident care.
  • Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine the need for intervention and treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve resident goals.
  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to identify target lists, including short-term and long-term goals.
  • Conduct individual and group treatment sessions, including exercises and activities to improve muscle strength, coordination, mobility, and sensory awareness.
  • Monitor resident progress and consult with the Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in resident, family, and staff education to promote a culture of excellence in care.
  • Adhere to department and resident schedules, and modify as necessary to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Assist with quality assurance programs and maintain accurate and compliant documentation in electronic medical records.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
