Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Engineering Team Lead at WaterNSW, you will be responsible for actively engaging in risk management processes, including safety, asset integrity, and process integrity. This will involve identifying, understanding, documenting, and controlling risks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our water infrastructure.

You will also be responsible for engaging in asset life-cycle management processes, including the identification, initiation, planning, and engineering of asset upgrades or refurbishments. This will involve ensuring that assets are managed effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of our customers.

Additionally, you will support the maintenance and project work management processes, ensuring that work outcomes are safe, high quality, effective, and efficient. You will also support continuous improvement processes, investigating safety incidents, asset and process performance, and reliability issues to identify root causes and contributing factors.

Finally, you will manage audit processes, ensuring that the knowledge of asset condition and operational and maintenance expertise is maintained in accordance with WaterNSW and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent in an appropriate asset management field. You will also need to have proven competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and a current Australian Driver's Licence.

Furthermore, you will need to be able to work effectively in teams or autonomously as required, and have highly effective report writing and communication skills.
