We have a dynamic and supportive team environment in our Medical Unit at Northwest Regional Hospital.

The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a 27-bed General Medical Ward, a 15-bed Isolation Ward, and an 8-bed Acute Medical Unit for short-stay patients.

Our hospital specialises in delivering comprehensive care to individuals with complex medical conditions, including acute stroke, palliative care, sepsis, respiratory and cardiac conditions, and acute delirium.

Our Isolation Unit is equipped to manage patients with transmission-based infections, including COVID-19.

Staff working in the Medical Unit will have the opportunity to rotate through all three areas, gaining diverse clinical experience and broadening their professional skills.

Job Role and Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse plays a critical role in strengthening health outcomes by providing safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.
