Project Director - Psychology and Allied Health

Join The State Of Queensland in a key leadership role as Project Director - Psychology and Allied Health. This position will oversee the successful development of project outcomes that support effective planning, preparation, and operations of SQCP-S2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage deliverables that align with the Operating Model established for SQCP-S2.
  • Oversee SQCP-Stage 2 Psychology and Allied Health Services work package activities to ensure completion within specifications, project timeframes, and budget.
  • Provide high-level expert advice to the Operations Project Control Group on strategic evidence-based, best-practice Psychology and Health Services, ensuring alignment to the strategic objectives and priorities of QCS and SQCP-S2.
  • Effectively engage with other agencies in the health, allied health, and community welfare fields to inform information sharing, referral pathways, and service delivery design.
  • Ensure culturally appropriate services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
  • Specialist level of mental health/forensic psychology knowledge, clinical skills, and experience of implementation of clinical practice standards to provide advocacy and leadership for QCS professional staff.
  • Work collaboratively with all workstreams to deliver products that are aligned with the Operating Principles of SQCP-S2.
  • Lead the project team to ensure project outcomes and initiatives are delivered effectively and within specified project timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Specialist level of mental health/forensic psychology knowledge, clinical skills, and experience of implementation of clinical practice standards.
  • High level knowledge and application of theories, models, and research for suicide prevention, psychological services in correctional settings, contemporary offender rehabilitation, offender management.
  • Strong strategic relationships with Custodial operations, Community Corrections, QCS Specialist Operations, Queensland Health, and a range of internal and external service providers and stakeholders.
