**Job Opportunity:**
We are seeking a School Wellbeing Practitioner/Social Worker to join our team on maternity leave cover.
School Wellbeing Practitioner/Social Worker Maternity Leave CoverJob Description:
The successful applicant will have a passion for supporting children, adolescents and their families with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement whole of school wellbeing approaches, group work, individual and family counselling, and community education.
- Consult with school personnel to provide training and support in responding to the needs of children and young people in an educational context.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
Requirements:
- A degree qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or psychotherapy is essential.
- Proven experience in counselling children, young people, and families is necessary.
- The ability to deliver psycho-educational and therapeutic group programs to parents, students, or small groups is required.
- Highly developed relationship building and communication skills are a must.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working in partnership with school communities is advantageous.
- A sound understanding of whole of school wellbeing approaches and counselling in a school context is beneficial.
