About the role
The Australian Family Partnership Program (FPP) is a voluntary, evidence-based, home visitation program that aims to improve maternal and child health and enhance parents' life course.

Based in Alice Springs, the Nurse Home Visitor develops long-term relationships with clients to support them in recognizing their strengths, building skills and confidence, accessing services, and improving their life course.

The position offers a high level of autonomy, flexibility, and personal satisfaction.

This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, cultural competence, and ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing regular home visits to eligible women from early pregnancy until their child turns two
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field
