Procurement Leader for Amazon Australia Operations

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Leader to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our procurement operations team, you will be responsible for leading the site's indirect procurement operations.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in supply chain management. Your primary responsibility will be to own and manage the site's indirect procurement operation, including forecasting, inventory management, purchase order management, and vendor management of 3rd party service providers.
You will lead supplier management KPI and metrics reporting, and work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will provide procurement leadership and collaborate with the building leadership team to drive efficiencies and improvements at the site(s).
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide procurement operations support for the fulfillment center, including forecasting of non-inventory products, inventory management, non-inventory flow and space models, cycle counts, supplier management, procurement transaction, and expediting support.
- Lead a team of non-inventory receivers to ensure the building has adequate resources and is set up for success.
- Develop deep knowledge of non-inventory items and align with like buildings to drive best practices.
- Manage KPI to measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes, including creating recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for the Operations network.
- Develop relationships across the building and network to ensure best practices are shared and implemented.
- Measure actual vs planned savings; as savings trends are identified, own action plans to meet goals and develop solutions.
- Work in partnership both internally and with suppliers to develop innovative solutions to provide procurement support to the Operations teams.
Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, engineering, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in similar role.
- 1+ year's experience using MS-office, particularly Excel and analytic platform, including but not limited to the ability to analyze data using pivot & V-lookups.
- Experience understanding process flow and suggesting improvements to deliver saving, inventory reduction, or other benefits to the site.
