Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Officer to join our team at the Shire of Capel. As an Asset Officer, you will play a critical role in the collection, management, and analysis of accurate and meaningful asset data for all infrastructure assets within the Shire.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and maintaining detailed information on Shire infrastructure assets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and efficiency that supports organisational planning. This will include conducting physical asset inspections and liaising with key stakeholders to facilitate effective and timely transfer of information from other business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and maintain detailed information on Shire infrastructure assets
  • Conduct physical asset inspections and liaise with key stakeholders
  • Maintain the Shire's Asset Management systems to a high standard
  • Extract technical information and reports as needed to meet statutory requirements

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in the collection, recording, and analysis of asset data, sound survey and measurement skills, and strong computer skills. Qualifications or experience in Asset Management and developed CAD skills will be highly regarded.
