IT Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and solutions-focused IT Systems Engineer to join our technology team.

  • Our ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage scalable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
  • They will lead systems integration across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments, leveraging their technical expertise in Windows & Linux server environments, enterprise networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and security frameworks.
  • The successful candidate will have experience integrating IT with OT systems, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Lead systems integration across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments.
  • Administer and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity measures (zero-trust, IAM, SIEM, malware/antivirus).
  • Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Manage M365 environments (Entra ID, Intune, Teams) and user access controls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership and clear documentation.
  • Support end-users with Level 2/3 technical issues and deliver training where required.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve performance, security, and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar IT systems engineering role.
  • Strong technical expertise in Windows & Linux server environments, enterprise networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and security frameworks.
  • Experience integrating IT with OT systems, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering (preferred), professional certifications highly regarded.
  • Security certifications will be highly regarded.
