Salary

$60-$80 per hour paid as a permanent salary. A $5K sign-on bonus is also available. Overtime penalties apply. Uniforms, further training, and participation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) program are included.

Job Description

Duties:

  • Deliver a first-class service to customers across various industries, including automotive, mining, and power generation.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field on an on-call roster.
  • Diagnose and repair engines.
  • Inspect and replace components as required.
  • Perform engine rebuilding and reconditioning.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to the Service Supervisor.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mechanical trades qualifications - Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light Vehicle Mechanic, or Plant Mechanic with heavy experience.
  • Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products.
  • Ideal possession of engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge.
  • Hitachi, Komatsu, and Liebherr experience highly desirable.
  • Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers.
