We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector to safely perform dogging and rigging duties on a day-to-day basis across various work environments. As a key member of our team, you will work positively and safely operate a range of construction equipment, including Forklifts, Telehandlers, EWP's, and Scissor lifts. You will also be responsible for safely operating cranes, lifting a variety of items from structural steel to mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of construction equipment, including cranes, EWP's, Scissor lifts, Forklifts, and Telehandlers;
- Read specifications or drawings to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of materials required;
- Connect columns, beams, and Cold roll items with bolts, following drawings and instructions from supervisors, adhering to Australian standards;
- Lift and position structural steel members using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators;
- Dismantle structures or equipment;
- Perform pre-operational inspections and communicate servicing and mechanical needs with supervisors;
- Apply dogging, Rigging, and Crane Operation experience and knowledge to ensure safe lifting and movement of loads;
- Undertake regular maintenance of crane and rigging equipment;
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors or leading hands.
- Previous structural steel erection experience is preferred;
- Ability to work 5.5 days a week as required;
- Previous experience working with cranes of various sizes;
- Basic Rigging ticket as a minimum;
- EWP Ticket;
- Working at Heights ticket;
- White card;
- Driver's license with a reliable vehicle;
- Adherence to OH&S practices;
- Organizational, efficient, and productive skills;
- Positive attitude towards issues and problems;
- Willingness to work overtime when offered;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Willingness to travel when required.
