Job Description

EACH Victoria is seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver supports to families in partnership, using evidence-informed best practice to help them achieve their goals.
  • Use assessments, observations, and understanding of child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family.
  • Empower families, caregivers, and professionals, helping them build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives.
  • Connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in the settings and activities they choose.
  • Keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system.
  • Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Allied Health or Education.
  • Expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
  • A proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including the implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
