A Career Opportunity in Truck Body Manufacturing

Join our team of skilled professionals at JJR Engineering, a leading manufacturer of truck bodies, as a CNC Operator.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating laser and press machines, loading and unloading parts, and performing quality assurance checks to ensure the highest quality of parts.

Key Responsibilities:

\u2022 Operate laser machine and brake press machine
\u2022 Load and unload parts (some heavy lifting required)
\u2022 Perform QA checks to ensure quality of parts
\u2022 Sort, organize, and store materials
\u2022 Identify and work with various metals, ensuring correct material usage
\u2022 Utilize CNC machine software to create cutting programs within company guidelines
\u2022 Create production documents
\u2022 Maintain machine efficiency
\u2022 Ensure all necessary paperwork and record keeping is done neatly, legibly and in a timely manner
\u2022 Conduct routine maintenance of the CNC machines as per maintenance schedule
\u2022 Check and report any equipment faults
\u2022 Basic troubleshooting of machine performance issues
\u2022 Keep workplace clean and tidy

Requirements:

\u2022 Experience as Laser / Plasma operator or Trades Assistant in a similar environment
\u2022 Experience in a manufacturing environment including use of hand tools and other auxiliary machinery
\u2022 Be physically fit and able to load and unload parts on and off the machines
\u2022 Forklift licence (essential)
\u2022 DG High-Risk Work Licence (desired)
\u2022 Proficient with interpretation of workshop drawings
\u2022 Workshop safety orientated
\u2022 Be subject to a pre-employment medical
