Job Description:

We're seeking a seasoned Backend Software Engineer to lead the design and evolution of scalable systems that support our admin experiences. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand multi-team admin needs, identify opportunities for system improvements, and turn them into scalable solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead backend strategies for large-scale distributed systems optimized for availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Mentor and support other engineers in their technical growth, role-modelling engineering excellence, and sharing feedback.
  • Shaping admin user experiences by exploring product ideas, testing what's technically possible, and building solutions that meet the needs of large-scale organizations.
  • Champion operational excellence, resolving tricky backend issues, and improving observability.
  • Guide architecture decisions for high-volume, high-data services, ensuring what we build is robust, scalable, and enterprise-ready.
Requirements:
  • At least Staff or Principal Engineer level experience in JVM-based languages such as Java or Kotlin.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and leading backend strategies for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Able to thrive in ambiguity, using sound judgment to drive clarity and navigate trade-offs.
  • Able to mentor and support other engineers in their technical growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate evolving product goals into clear technical strategies and executable milestones.
