Arts Assistant Job Summary

The role of an Arts Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Arts Department in a girls' school. This involves working collaboratively with staff, students, and guest artists, as well as administering curriculum and co-curriculum areas of Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Art.

As an Arts Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the curricular and co-curricular programs in the Arts Department. This includes maintaining art room specific resources, tools, and equipment, and assisting with costuming, props, and resource management for the Dance and Drama programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative support to the Arts Department
  • Maintenance of art room resources, tools, and equipment
  • Assistance with costuming, props, and resource management for Dance and Drama programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent organisational skills, ability to work autonomously, and operate as a resourceful team member in a collaborative inclusive manner. You will also need efficient and effective time management skills, and be able to demonstrate IT competency in office software.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for visual presentation of art works, a proactive and solutions-based mindset, and a commitment to achieving excellence in their work.
